About Senior Games

The Renfrew County Senior Games provide a venue for all seniors (55+) in Renfrew County and the Hastings Highlands/Bancroft area to compete in a variety of activities in a spirit of friendship and camaraderie.

The Summer Games are held in June and are hosted by a different community each year. Approximately 400 seniors participate in these games and enjoy the fun of competing with other seniors of their age group. 

Aside from the games themselves, other activities are planned for the day, including a closing banquet where gold, silver and bronze medals are presented to the winners of the various sports and games.

Gold medal winners are eligible to participate in Actifest - the provincial level Games, which are held every second year in even numbered years and in the Eastern Divisional Summer Games.

Winter Games

Winter Games activities take place throughout the winter months. Gold medal winners are eligible to participate in Winterfest at the provincial level - also held every second year, in odd numbered years.
